What’s wrong with del.icio.us

I have a del.icio.us account, and have had it for a long time now. There is one gigantic, obvious problem with del.icio.us, and it blows my mind that they haven’t fixed this by now. Every user of del.icio.us must certainly be irritated by it. The problem is… wait for it … if you’re a del.icio.us user, you undoubtedly already know what I’m about to say … the problem is: duplicates in your subscriptions.

For fuck’s sake, del.icio.us. I use the site to find interesting stuff. If a site is getting bookmarked 50000 times a day, I do not need to see every instance of those 50000 bookmarkings in my subscriptions. I do not need it, I do not want it, and it drives me away from using del.icio.us. It makes the site unusable.

Del.icio.us, here is a message for you. Fix this, or I’m leaving.
