Christopher Hitchens, William Lane Craig, Lee Strobel, et al.

There’s a video (long) with Christopher Hitchens, Lee Strobel, William Lane Craig, and a couple other dudes whose names I’ve forgotten.

Here’s the link: http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=41178da2dab2e1e83d93

The arguments put forth by the Christians are the usual completely retarded pathetic shit which only makes me wonder how they espouse it all with a straight face.

To a great extent, Christopher Hitchens doesn’t really address these arguments, which is a shame, considering the audience in attendance, but on the other hand, the arguments which he is presented for address are as old and as stupid as rocks. I mean:

“Everything which begins to exist has a cause?”

Come on. They don’t see what’s wrong with that? Are they stupid?

Yes. Yes they are.

  1. Interesting that you do not respond with a counterargument to what you clearly disagree with “Everything which begins to exist has a cause?”, but rather call them stupid.

I believe that’s a logical fallacy called personal attack.

  2. Ok, here you go Chad. Have you ever observed anything begin to exist? And I don’t mean just re-arranging already existing stuff, I mean new stuff, popping into existence out of nothing. No? Never observed that?

From what I’ve read, it seems that the so called “quantum foam” consists of matter and antimatter popping into existence everywhere, all the time and guess what? NO apparent cause for it. From what little we know about stuff popping into existence from nothing, it doesn’t require a cause.

    I thought everybody knew that.
