Most detailed image of the Carina nebula yet taken

Today’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, or “apod” is the most detailed image of the Carina Nebula yet taken. It was constructed from 48 images taken by the Hubble Space telescope over the last two years, a portion of which is shown below:

Here is a big ginormous image of the Carina Nebula.

If you look carefully, you can find “the finger.”

There’s also a zoomable version.
