Cyclekart progress and living room acoustics

I began thinking about how to construct the hood of my cyclekart. I’m thinking to do it in a manner reminiscent of how wooden canoes are built. Which is to say, using longitudinal strips of wood.

Not too far along, but I like that you can kind of begin to see how it’s going to look when it’s done. Starting to come together.

My parents came over tonight for dinner. We grilled some veggies and burgers (despite the rain) and had quite a feast. My dad brought his fiddle over to test out the acoustics in my living room with the wood floors. I grabbed an electric guitar for some acoustics testing fun as well. Went down kind of like this:
