Word War vi on OpenPandora

OpenPandora is a little handheld computer that runs linux, and has a heavy slant towards gaming. I had thought about getting one myself in order to port my little video game Word War vi to it, but I never got around to it.

However, someone on the internet wasn’t as lazy as I am. A user going by the name of “mcobit” on the openpandora forum has gone and ported it. Here’s a little video:

Now I have to get one of these nifty little machines.

  • ARM® Cortex™-A8 600Mhz+ CPU running Linux
  • 430-MHz TMS320C64x+™ DSP Core
  • PowerVR SGX OpenGL 2.0 ES compliant 3D hardware
  • 800×480 4.3″ 16.7 million colours touchscreen LCD
  • Wifi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth & High Speed USB 2.0 Host
  • Dual SDHC card slots & SVideo TV output
  • Dual Analogue and Digital gaming controls
  • 43 button QWERTY and numeric keypad
  • Around 10+ Hours battery life (yes, really!)

Edit: a little bit more about the Pandora:
