Word War vi video, Aug 17, 2008
Made a new little video of Word War vi, my little Defender/Scramble inspired videogame tribute to the editor, vi. Not many changes lately, this game seems to be nearing a state of what might be called completion. I added a couple new command line options to enable adding extra sparks into explosions, and to make the distribution of spark velocities in explosions result in a more natural looking circular explosion instead of the default distribution, which results in rectangular explosions. Usually the sparks are not numerous enough that the shape of the explosions is all that obvious, but even so, I find the round explosions more aesthetically pleasing.
